Everyone is waiting for KGF fame Pan India star Yash’s next film ‘Toxic’. But this film is embroiled in controversies before its release. FIR has now been registered in this matter. As per the order of the Magistrate Court, the Karnataka Forest Department has registered a case against him on charges of illegal cutting of trees for shooting of a film on forest land.

FIR registered against these people

An FIR has been lodged under section 24 (8) of KFA 1963 against the producer of the film Toxic, KVN Mastermind Creations, General Manager of Canara Bank, General Manager of HMT. This matter came to light last month when Karnataka Forest Minister Ishwar Khandare visited the spot and inspected the spot and expressed concern over such activities.

Karnataka Forest Department and HMT face to face

The shooting of this film of South superstar Yash is currently going on. Because of this, Karnataka Forest Department and Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT) have come face to face. It is alleged that hundreds of trees have been cut to prepare the set of the film.

Forest Minister wrote a letter in this matter

Ishwar Khandare, Minister of Forest, Ecology and Environment in the Government of Karnataka, has written a letter to the Additional Chief Secretary in this matter. In this, concern has been expressed over 599 acres of forest land. This land is now in the possession of HMT. In fact, in a gazette notification, these reserve forest lands were given to HMT without any formal notification.

Struggle over ownership of land

There is an ongoing tussle between the central and state governments regarding the ownership rights of this land. Environment Minister Ishwar Khandre had said in his letter that HMT is giving this land on rent for business purposes, which also includes a film named ‘Toxic’.

Trees were cut without permission

Along with this, he claimed that a large amount of deforestation has been done in the forest for the film. This is a violation of the forest cutting limit. For this he has talked about comparison with satellite pictures. The minister said that if trees have been cut without permission, it is a case of violation of forest law.
