Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin advised the youth to have children soon after marriage and said that more population seems to be a criteria to get more parliamentary seats. Dravid Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) President Stalin while addressing a wedding ceremony said that many years ago the newlyweds were advised not to have children immediately after marriage. He said that however, this advice should no longer be given and there is no need for it.
Stalin said that this is because now such a situation has arisen that more population will be ensured only when the process of delimitation will be based on population.
Tamil Nadu is suffering from population control
He said that Tamil Nadu paid attention to population control and was successful in it but today the state is suffering the consequences. Appealing to the bride and groom, he said, “I will not tell you not to have a hurry in a hurry, but immediately produce children and give them a beautiful Tamil.” Stalin said that the question of delimitation is related to the protection of Tamil Nadu’s rights and its interests, so the matter should not be evaluated political.
Stalin accused the central government
Stalin alleged that the central government is planning to implement the Tri-Language Policy under pressure and similarly in the delimitation, it is trying to cut the number of seats for Tamil Nadu. An all -party meeting is being held on March 5 on the proposed delimitation exercise in this backdrop and most of the 40 parties have confirmed their participation. Some parties have said that they will not participate in it. The Chief Minister has appealed to such parties not to look at this issue with the glasses of politics.
Stalin appealed
Tamil Manila Congress (Mupanar), a party led by BJP and former Union Minister’s Vasan, said that she would not attend the meeting. Stalin said, “I would like to appeal to him to consider it. This is not an issue between the DMK and your party. ”He appealed that the issue is about Tamil Nadu and its interests and rights. Stalin said that, so parties who have announced that they will not participate, should also participate in it. (With language inputs)
