New Delhi. Air Force Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla is scheduled to be the first Indian to visit the International Space Station (ISS). No Indian ISS has gone before Shubhanshu Shukla. In 1984, Rakesh Sharma, who was the wing commander in the Indian Air Force, got a chance to enter space from Russia’s Soyuz vehicle. Shubhanshu Shukla, 41 years after that historical event, has now become the second Indian to go to space. There are 3 more astronauts in SpaceX’s dragon vehicle with Shubhanshu Shukla. Dragon vehicle took Shubhanshu into space will connect with the ISS around 4.30 pm today.
To join success with ISS, the dragon capsules will have to be brought closer to the entry door. Shubhanshu Shukla, who is doing the responsibility of pilot, will perform this work. Shubhanshu Shukla and three other astronauts are traveling around the earth at a speed of 7.5 km every second. At the same time, the international space station is 400 km above the earth. The 9 small booster rockets installed in the dragon vehicle are firing in between and brought to the ISS and then added. This work is considered very complicated, but Axiom has trained Shubhanshu for his mission.
Shubhanshu Shukla is a resident of Lucknow, the capital of UP. He was also sent to Russia for training for Gaganyaan. Then when NASA and ISRO decided to work together in the Axiom-4 mission, it was decided by India to send Shubhanshu Shukla to the ISS. Shubhanshu has to do 12 experiments on ISS. Of these, 7 are from India and 5 from America’s space agency NASA. Shubhanshu Shukla will also sprout all the seeds in the subtle gravity of ISS. So that it can be known what is the effect of seed germination in such circumstances. Shubhanshu Shukla has to spend 10 to 14 days on ISS. Overall, Shubhanshu is going to be very busy every day.
