Amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Israel and six other countries on Saturday delivered relief material by air. Air forces of the US, Germany, Britain, France, Jordan and Israel jointly demolished the food and medical supply inside the Gaza. However, unlike international institutions and local administration reports, Israel claimed that there is no ‘starvation situation’ in Gaza.
The Israeli army said in its official statement that adequate human assistance is being provided to the citizens of Gaza and this aircraft is part of the same. At the same time, he rejected the United Nations report that said that ‘serious food crisis’ was said in Gaza. Israel says that he understands the sufferings of Palestinian citizens, but it is equally important to stop terrorist organizations like Hamas.
On the other hand, international media and human rights organizations have said that thousands of people are malnourished in Gaza and there is a huge shortage of clean water and medicine. The situation is getting worse due to the conflict between Israel and Hamas for the last several months. The United Nations agency UNRWA says that millions of people need immediate assistance in Gaza.
Meanwhile, the governments of Germany, America and UK said they would promote such aircraft and will be sent more in future. Jordan clarified that his aim is to help only ordinary citizens, not to affect any political situation.
However, critics say that these relief efforts have started very late and the real needs on the ground are still not being met. At the same time, some citizens of Gaza also told through video messages that they are not getting these relief materials, as it is falling in the wrong places or armed groups are getting involved.
