Air India Express flight was immediately landed after smoke was seen during take off. This incident also happened on Friday morning when the Air India Express flight was going to Muscat. But after smoke was seen the plane was returned to Thiruvananthapuram airport.
There were 142 passengers on board the flight
Airport sources said that there were 142 passengers on board. Smoke was seen around 10.30 am at the time of departure of the flight, after which the plane was immediately diverted to Thiruvananthapuram airport.
After this the passengers were deboarded from the flight and arrangements for alternative aircraft were made. They were sent by the same plane. An investigation will be conducted to find out the problem with the flight. An airline spokesperson said it regrets the inconvenience. Operation of aircraft is permitted only when it is completely safe for passengers.
