Severe cold is going to fall in Delhi
The Delhi-NCR region received its first winter rain of the season on Sunday. This has provided some relief from the increasing pollution levels. Along with this, the cold has also increased in Delhi-NCR. The mercury in Delhi is expected to fall by 2-3 degrees in the next few days. Similarly, a drop in temperatures may also be recorded in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Bihar. Temperatures below zero are already being recorded in some areas of the hill states. Snowfall is also occurring in the higher reaches of Himachal and Jammu and Kashmir.
Change in the weather of Delhi-NCR
There has been a significant change in the weather of Delhi-NCR since the rain on Sunday. Cold winds were blowing on Monday. At the same time, the minimum temperature in Delhi on Tuesday is likely to be 6 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is likely to be 21 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature may further fall to 5 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
These parts of the country will remain in the grip of cold wave
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), cold wave is going to hit Delhi in the next few days. Till December 14, Delhi and many districts of other northern states like Punjab, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh will remain in the grip of cold wave.
Cold will increase further by 25th December
IMD said that there is a possibility of light fog between 13 and 14 December. Also, there may be a slight increase in temperature due to the effect of mild western disturbance. During this period, the maximum temperature can reach around 25 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is likely to be between 6 to 8 degrees. However, a slight increase in cold is expected by December 25.
Hisar is the coldest city of Haryana
There is already an outbreak of cold wave in the northern region. Hisar in Haryana has become one of the coldest places in the region, with the temperature recorded at 4.7 degrees Celsius in the past few days. The Meteorological Department has advised people to be prepared for the cold wave. It is especially likely to be coldest in the early morning and late evening.
