New Delhi. A senior army officer has been accused of seriously injured by assaulting the staff of SpiceJet airline. According to SpiceJet, this incident of assault took place on 26 July at Srinagar Airport. According to SpiceJet, senior army officers were enraged during a flight from Srinagar to Delhi and beat four airline employees badly. According to the SpiceJet airline, the beating of a senior army officer broke the backbone of one of his employees and another was seriously hurt in the jaw of another. The airline has put this army officer in the no fly list. At the same time, the police have demanded strict action by handing over the CCTV footage of the incident.
According to a spiceJet airline spokesperson, on July 26, the flight number SG 386 was going from Srinagar to Delhi. At the boarding gate of this flight, an army officer attacked four of his employees. According to SpiceJet, the employees attacked the standing gate from the stand used to install a line. When an employee fell unconscious, even then, SpiceJet has accused him of kicking. According to the airline, when another employee tried to help his unconscious employee, the army officer kicked his jaw loudly. This led to bleeding from his nose and mouth. According to SpiceJet, all these injured employees are being treated in the hospital.
According to the SpiceJet airline, senior army officer was taking two baggage against the rules in the cabin. The weight of these baggage was 16 kg instead of 7 kg. When the staff humbly told him that these are additional goods and they would have to pay for it, the passenger refused it. SpiceJet also alleges that the army officer also tried to forcibly enter the aircraft without completing the boarding process. The CISF personnel present on the spot brought the passenger back to the gate. Only after this, the passenger started beating the staff by adopting an aggressive attitude. Srinagar Police has registered an FIR in this case.
