Prayagraj. Justice Mayank Kumar Jain of Allahabad High Court is going to give an important decision today in the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah Mosque dispute case located in Mathura. In the Allahabad High Court, the Muslim side had filed a recall petition against the simultaneous hearing of all the petitions filed by the Hindu side. After hearing the recall petition of the Muslim side, Justice Mayank Kumar Jain had reserved the decision on October 16. The Muslim side had appealed to withdraw the order for simultaneous hearing of all the petitions filed in support of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi. If the Allahabad High Court accepts the application of the Muslim side, then the applications filed by the Hindu side will be heard one by one and then the matter may drag on further.
Earlier, Allahabad High Court had ruled on January 11, 2024 that all the petitions filed by the Hindu side in the dispute related to Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Mosque will be heard together. The Muslim side says that different demands have been made in the petitions of the Hindu side. In such a situation, there should not be a simultaneous hearing. The Muslim side has also argued that before the maintainability of the petitions is decided, they cannot be heard together. At the same time, the Hindu side says that in all the petitions filed in the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi case, only one demand has been made that where the Shahi Idgah is located, there was earlier the birthplace of Lord Shri Krishna. Which was demolished and a mosque was built. It has been said in the petitions that the disputed place should again be given to Hindus.
In August this year, the Allahabad High Court had rejected the objection of the Muslim side on maintainability in the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah Mosque dispute of Mathura. The court had also decided to start hearing the petitions. Now everyone’s eyes are on what decision the court takes on the recall petition filed by the Muslim side. If the application of the Muslim side is rejected, and Allahabad High Court orders to start the hearing, then the issue of Shahi Idgah Mosque can also go to the Supreme Court.
