Addressing an official program, CM Stalin said that Modi should also ensure that a resolution is passed in Parliament so that the rights of Tamil Nadu are not curbed.
Memorandum will be handed over to delimitation
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin inaugurated several projects for the popular tourist destination and announced new schemes. Addressing the gathering then CM Stalin said that he has sought time to meet the Prime Minister to submit a memorandum on the concerns related to the proposed delimitation. Addressing the gathering, he said, “We have sought time to submit a memorandum on delimitation. Since I am participating in this government ceremony, I have made them aware of their inability to attend their meeting. I have sent my ministers- T Thennarasu and King Kannappan for this work. Through this gathering, I request the Prime Minister to remove the possibility of delimitation. ”
Proposal to be passed in Parliament
CM Stalin said, “You (Modi) should also ensure that a resolution is passed in Parliament in this regard. This will reduce the parliamentary seat (from delimitation), so it is our right to ask about it. It is also a matter of concern for our future. “He said,” There will be 40 parliamentary seats including Puducherry. But (at the center) the ruling BJP government is trying to suppress our voice through delimitation. ”Stalin said that the Joint Action Committee meeting on fair delimitation was held in Chennai on 22 March in which Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and prominent leaders representing various political ideologies from across the country participated.
