Accident in Kalkaji temple of Delhi.
Big news of the accident is coming out from the famous Kalkaji temple of the capital Delhi. There was an incident of electrocution and stampede in Kalkaji temple late night on 2nd October. In this accident, one student has died and one has been injured due to electric shock. Meanwhile, 6 people have been injured due to the stampede.
What is the whole matter?
At 12.40 am on 2nd October, the police got information that some devotees who had come to visit Kalka Ji temple had got electrocuted. On reaching the spot, it was found that they had come in contact with the electric wire at the merging point of Rampayu and Lotus Temple. Police staff reached the spot and admitted the injured to the hospital, electric supply was switched off and people were removed from the spot. BSES and police investigated the spot and evacuated the temple.
What was the reason for the accident?
Upon investigation, it was found that the electrical wire used to install halogen lights during Navratri had broken and came in contact with the iron railing. Due to this it got electric current. A total of 7 people were injured, out of which one was electrocuted and 6 devotees were injured due to the stampede.
9th class student dies
After the incident, 4 injured were admitted to AIIMS Trauma Center and 3 to Safdarjung Hospital. After this, the police received information from Safdarjung Hospital that an unknown person was admitted to the hospital who died and the cause of death was found to be electric shock. The deceased was a 9th class student, the deceased had come with his family to visit Kalkaji temple and got electrocuted due to which he died, the deceased’s father works as a plumber. Apart from this, all the injured are out of danger.
Electric supply started after repairing
After repairing in Kalkaji temple, electric supply was started in the temple and darshan was also started. Police have registered a case under sections 289, 125(9) and 106(1) of BNS and started investigation into this incident.
