New Delhi. In Kolkata, a gang rape incident has come to light again. In the law college here, there has been a heinous incident of gang rape of a student. The three accused who carried out the gang rape incident have been arrested by the police. Among these accused are a student of an institute, an alumnus and an employee. The incident took place on 25 June. The accused crucked the student at the college campus around 7.30 pm. The police is questioning the accused. The forensic team reached the spot and investigated and gathered evidence.
The Kolkata Police has sealed the scene and the victim’s student has also been done medical. The police will probably produce the three accused in the court today and ask for their remand. The police have also taken the mobile phones of the three accused in their possession. The arrested accused are said to be Monojit Mishra, Jab Ahmed and Pramit Mukherjee. After the incident with her, the victim went to the police and lodged a complaint. After this, the police arrested the two accused in front of Siddharth Shankar Shishu Roy Udyan near Talbagan Crossing in Kolkata on the evening of 26 June. While the third accused was arrested around 26 and 27 pm around 12:30 pm.
Let us tell you that in August last year, a trainee female doctor was murdered at RG Medical College, Kolkata after raping her when she was paying duty in the hospital in the night shift. The matter remained in the entire country for several months. Sanjay Roy, accused of murder and rape of the student, was arrested by the police. He was later convicted by the court and sentenced him to life imprisonment. Many government medical colleges across the country went on strike to protest against this incident.
