New Delhi. Students played Holi fiercely at Aligarh Muslim University. Holi ceremony was held at the Non-Resident Students Club located in AMU. This is the first time in the history of AMU that Holi program has been done at a particular place. Earlier, students used to play Holi only in their hostels, but this time the students had sought permission from the university to celebrate the Holi program at the Non-Resident Students Club, which was rejected at first, but later when the issue caught fire, the university administration had to be allowed.

On the other hand, police, PAC and RAF were also deployed in the security system in view of the Holi program being celebrated for the first time in the AMU campus. There is no disturbance of any kind in the students’ Holi celebrations or no anti -social elements spread disturbances, due to which DSP Abhay Kumar Pandey of Aligarh himself was also present there. DSP Pandey said, although there was a provision for playing Holi inside the AMU campus, but some students had demanded that they should be given arrangements to play Holi separately. In this regard, NRSC Club has been allotted by the university administration. In this, students will gather and play Holi. In view of this, the police force has been deployed here.

The DCP said that only after checking the Icards of the students, they are being admitted to the campus so that no anti -social elements or outsiders can come here in the name of the student. Let us tell you that Hindu students wrote a letter to the Vice Chancellor on 25 February in which they requested to allow Holi Milan ceremony to be celebrated at NRSC Club. AMU Proctor Professor Mohammad Wasim Ali rejected the request, saying that the university administration is not in favor of starting any new tradition. After this, all BJP leaders including former Aligarh Mayor Shakuntala Bharti raised the issue loudly.
