President Draupadi Murmu on Wednesday congratulated the entire team of India’s daughter Sunita Williams and her fellow astronauts to ensure a safe return to the land and said that they have inspired everyone with their perseverance, dedication and never giving up.
Murmu said in a post on ‘X’, “His historical journey is a story of determination, spirit of working together and extraordinary courage.” I salute his unwavering resolve and wish him good health. “
NASA’s astronaut Williams and Buch Wilmore, who had been in space for more than nine months, returned to the earth in the early hours of Wednesday.
The President said, “Congratulations to the entire team that makes NASA a successful return on the land of ‘Crew 9’ mission. India’s daughter Sunita Williams and her fellow astronauts have inspired everyone with their perseverance, dedication and never giving up.
Williams’ father Deepak Pandya was originally from village Jhulasan in Mehsana district of Gujarat and moved to America in 1957.
