The Supreme Court Collegium held a meeting on Monday regarding Justice Yashwant Verma. After this meeting, the collegium supported the decision to send Justice Yashwant Verma to Allahabad High Court. However, after the meeting of the General Body of the Allahabad High Court Bar Association, an appeal has been made to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court not to send Justice Yashwant Verma to Allahabad High Court. Justice Yashwant Verma of Delhi High Court has been accused of corruption.
On Monday, the General Body meeting of the Allahabad High Court Bar Association was held at the Library Hall. 11 proposals were passed in this meeting. The High Court Bar Association has passed the proposal and demanded from the CJI that Justice Yashwant Verma should not be transferred to Allahabad High Court. The Bar Association has said that Allahabad High Court is not a dumping ground. Along with this, the Bar Association has demanded the central government and CJI to bring impeachment against Justice Yashwant Verma.
Give permission to CBI and ED
The proposal has been passed in the General Body Meeting that CBI and ED should be allowed to register a case against Justice Yashwant Verma. Just as there is a trial of a civil servant, public servant or politician, his case should also be tried. The Bar Association has rejected the Supreme Court’s internal investigation and demanded that Justice Yashwant Verma be taken into custody with the permission of CJI if needed.
Uncle Judge Syndrome case raised
The Bar Association has rejected all the arguments and cleanliness of Justice Jaswant Verma. The Bar Association has also raised the case of “Uncle Judge Syndrome”. The lawyers have also demanded action against Uncle Judge syndrome. Under this, the family of the court where there is a judge should not advocate there. The Bar Association has demanded, reviewing the decisions of Justice Yashwant Verma in the Allahabad High Court.
Lawyers went on strike
The General Body Meeting was held under the chairmanship of Senior Advocate Anil Tiwari, President of the High Court Bar Association, in which 11 proposals were passed. After lunch on Monday, the Allahabad High Court lawyers went on strike. However, we will return to work again from Tuesday.
