New Delhi. There is no ban on demolishing religious places built by encroachment on government land with bulldozers. The Supreme Court gave this order on Tuesday. The Supreme Court, while hearing the petitions filed against the bulldozer action, said that if religious places have been built by occupying roads etc., then they will be demolished. The Supreme Court said that nothing can be bigger than saving the lives of the public. The Supreme Court has also said in its order that no bulldozer action will be taken on the personal property of any accused or convict. Supreme Court is making guidelines on bulldozer action. The Supreme Court reserved its decision on these guidelines.
The Supreme Court said in its order that the arrangement given by it on September 17 will continue. Even on September 17, the Supreme Court had made it clear that there is no restriction on demolishing any religious places which have been built by occupying them. After this order of the Supreme Court, bulldozer action was taken on religious places built by illegal encroachment in Assam and Gujarat. These matters were raised before the Supreme Court. On which the Supreme Court has once again reiterated its order. Some Muslim organizations and other people have filed a petition in the Supreme Court that in UP and other states, the properties of criminals are demolished by running bulldozers.
Those filing the petition claim that no notice is given before running bulldozers on such private properties. Direct action is taken. On this, the Supreme Court first took their opinion from the states and now it is going to decide the guidelines under which circumstances and on which properties bulldozers can be operated. At present, it has become clear from the court order that there is no ban on demolition of illegal religious places and state governments can run bulldozers on them.
