New Delhi. Clat means Common Law Admission Test. For admission in all the law universities of the country, the CLAT has to pass the examination, but the question of CLAT is constantly questioned. The Supreme Court has also directed the Consortium of National Law Universities, which conducts this exam in the case of many wrong questions in the CLAT exam on Wednesday, to revise the merit list. The court also reprimanded the consortium in the case. A bench of Justice BR Gavai and Justice AG Christ, while hearing the Clat case, canceled some instructions from the Delhi High Court. Also asked to completely remove some questions and give marks to the participants in some questions.
The Supreme Court took a tough stand on the continuous negligence in conducting the CLAT exam. The court said that first of all it is sorry that the Consortium has grossly negligent in preparing the important examination questions related to the career of millions of students like CLAT. A bench of Justice Gawai and Justice Christ said that in the year 2018, the Supreme Court had issued an order on the CLAT examination process. Even after this, the Central Government and the Bar Council of India did not take concrete steps to fix it. The Supreme Court said that the Consortium and Bar Council of India should file a reply in this case by Friday.
When asked wrong questions in the CLAT exam, Justice BR Gavai questioned whether you expect children between the ages of 16 and 17 to come to take the exam with calculator? He said that how can such difficult questions be asked? Justice BR Gawai said that why can’t a permanent institution like NEET and JEE to do the examination of CLAT? This case of CLAT examination was filed in the court on behalf of Siddhi Sandeep Lada and Aditya Singh. Lada got the 22nd rank in CLAT. It was said in the petitions that those who appeared in the ‘A’ set of CLAT exam paper were not given relief from the Delhi High Court. At the same time, instructions were given to give marks on wrong questions in other sets of paper.
