New Delhi. The Supreme Court reserved the verdict after hearing on Thursday in the case of Delhi-NCR stray dogs and keeping them in shelter home. A bench of Justice Vikram Nath, Justice Sandeep Mehta and Justice NV Anjaria has asked all the parties to file affidavits including evidence. The Supreme Court said that those who file intervention petitions will have to take responsibility. The court also said that the problem has increased so much due to the negligence of local officers. Earlier, Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice R.K. On August 11, Mahadevan’s bench ordered Delhi-NCR officials to hold stray dogs and keep them in the shelter home in 8 weeks.
During the hearing in a three -judge bench of the Supreme Court, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that children are losing their lives due to dog attacks. Tushar Mehta said that the issue of stray dogs needs to be resolved. It should not be disputed. The Solicitor General said that those who eat mutton-murga class remain animal lover. Mehta said that no one hates animals. The Solicitor General said in the Supreme Court that stray dogs in the country have bitten 37 lakh people. More than 500 of these people lost their lives due to being rabis. Whereas, Kapil Sibal, appearing for an NGO caring for stray dogs, said that the situation is serious. The order of catching dogs was banned by the Supreme Court.
Kapil Sibal said that there is a need to debate deeply in this matter. Sibal said that dogs decide their area and keeping together can cause problems. He said that there is a need to argue deeply in the case of stray dogs. Now after filing affidavits with evidence from all the parties in this case, the bench of the Supreme Court will give a bench verdict in the case of stray dogs. When a two -judge bench of the Supreme Court ordered the dogs to be caught, many people tried to protest against it. Many celebrities have also denied the Supreme Court’s decision about stray dogs.
