Murshidabad: The case of violence in Murshidabad in West Bengal has now reached the Supreme Court. A PIL has been filed in the country’s highest court regarding this case. This PIL has demanded the formation of SIT under the supervision of the Supreme Court to investigate the Murshidabad violence. Apart from this, the petition has also demanded a demand from the West Bengal government to seek clarification for failure in the state’s law and order situation. Violence erupted in Murshidabad
In fact, it became a law with the signature of the President after the Waqf Amendment Act was passed in both the houses of Parliament. Since then, most Muslim organizations across the country have been opposing this law. In this sequence, the protesters protesting the Waqf Act became fierce in Murshidabad. The protesters also attacked the police team. During this time incidents of arson and sabotage also came to light. Three people were killed and several others were injured in the violence erupted in Suti, Dhulian, Shamsherganj and Jangipur areas of Murshidabad since Friday. Since then, BSF has also been deployed in the area.
Majumdar meets displaced people
At the same time, BJP’s West Bengal unit president Sukant Majumdar has accused Hindus of atrocities in this matter. He also visited a relief camp set up at a school in Malda. He said that people from Murshidabad have taken refuge in this relief camp. He also met the people staying here. During this time many women met Sukant Majumdar and wept. The victims say that “their houses were set on fire, the property was destroyed and threatened to kill them.” A woman has taken refuge here with her four -day -old child. ”
