New Delhi. Expressing displeasure over the serious level of air pollution in Delhi, the Supreme Court has asked the common man government as to how the firecrackers were allowed to be burst despite the ban. The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Delhi Police Commissioner and has also sought his reply. Justice Abhay S. A bench of Justices Oka and Justice Augustine George Masih directed the Delhi government and the Delhi Police Commissioner to file counter affidavits. The top court said that to prevent pollution in Delhi, a ban is imposed on firecrackers every year but it is not strictly followed. The Supreme Court said that some steps will have to be taken on this serious issue so that the order is not violated on Diwali next year.
Along with this, the top court commented that we are also considering banning burning of firecrackers during weddings and election results. Supreme Court lawyer H.S. Giving information about this, Phulka said that the court has taken very seriously the fact that the ban on burning firecrackers during Diwali has not been implemented. The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Police Commissioner, he will have to file an affidavit explaining why this ban was not implemented.

The next hearing of this case will now be on November 11. Advocate Phulka said that I told the court, the police say that this is a bailable offence, we are helpless. On this the court said that we will settle this matter. The court is also considering a permanent ban on firecrackers in Delhi. Let us tell you that currently air pollution in Delhi is at a very serious level. In many areas, the AQI level in the air has even crossed the 400 mark, which is considered dangerous. The situation is such that there is smog everywhere in Delhi and people are facing respiratory problems.
