New Delhi. The remand of Tahwwur Rana, the mastermind of the Mumbai 26/11 terror attacks, has been extended for 12 days. The NIA presented it in a special court due to the completion of the remand period of Tawwur Rana in the Special Cell with high security of Tihar Jail and demanded to increase his remand. The special court accepted the demand of the NIA. Now NIA will interrogate Tahwwur Rana for the next 12 days. It was argued in the court by the NIA that Rana is not cooperating in the inquiry, so his remand period needs to be extended so that more information can be taken out of it.

Special Judge Chandrajit Singh of NIA court, Chandrajit Singh ruled to increase the remand on the same argument of NIA. The NIA officials brought India to India on 10 April by extradite Tahwwur Rana. Rana was arrested and produced in a special NIA special court from where he was sent on 18 days remand which was ending today. Due to Rana’s appearance, strong security arrangements were made in and around the Patiala House Court premises.

According to the chat, Tahwwur Rana had told his partner David Coleman Headley after the terrorist attacks in Mumbai that Indians used to deny it. Not only this, he also praised the terrorists who attacked in Mumbai. Rana wanted to give Pakistan’s highest honor ‘Nishan-e-Saidar’ to the terrorists killed in the attack. NIA wants to catch people hiding behind the curtains involved in the Mumbai attacks through questioning. Meanwhile, Mumbai Police has also questioned Rana.
