Railway police said that this accident happened near Shoranur railway station on Saturday evening. Four sanitation workers from Tamil Nadu died after being hit by the Kerala Express going from Delhi to Thiruvananthapuram. Two women are also included in these. The New Delhi-Thiruvananthapuram train hit these employees at around 3.05 pm. These sweepers were clearing garbage from the railway track near Shoranur bridge, a few kilometers from the railway station. Railway employees engaged in cleaning work fell down from the track due to the collision.

Search for fourth body continues

Police said three bodies have been recovered from the area, while efforts are being made to trace the fourth body, which is suspected to have fallen into the Bharatpuzha river. A team of Railway Police is present at the spot. “It is possible that the staff may not have seen the train coming, which led to the accident, but further investigation is underway,” said a Shoranur railway police official.

Two women died in Bahraich

Two women were killed after being hit by a goods train on Friday morning in Jarwal Road police station area of ​​Bahraich on Lucknow-Gonda railway block. Shahjahan (42) and Salma (40) of Jhukiya village in Jarwal Road police station area had crossed the railway track and gone to the fields for daily work. On her way back, she heard the sound of the train and stopped in the middle of the other track and started waiting for the train to leave. Meanwhile, another train (goods train) arrived on the same track on which both were standing. Both of them died on the spot after being hit by a goods train.
