Tearful tribute paid to former ADM Naveen Babu
In the suicide case of former Kannur ADM Naveen Babu, the ruling party CPM has expelled Kannur District Panchayat President PP Divya from the party. During the farewell speech, Divya had accused him of corruption regarding petrol pump NOC. There was anger among the people of Kannur after hearing the news of suicide of ADM Naveen Babu. Meanwhile, opposition parties UDF and BJP alleged that CPM leader PP Divya, intoxicated with power, forced Naveen Babu to commit suicide.

Let us tell you that Naveen Babu’s body was kept for last darshan before being cremated, where hundreds of people including ministers, senior bureaucrats and colleagues paid tribute to Naveen Babu at Pathanamthitta District Collectorate. His mortal remains were kept for last darshan by his daughters on Thursday afternoon before they were cremated.
Former collector cried remembering Naveen Babu
Former collector of Pathanmitta, Divya S. Iyer had tears in his eyes as he recalled his experience of working with Naveen Babu. During this, Iyer spoke to the journalists while wiping his tears and said that we worked as a family. I do not believe in the allegations against Naveen Babu. He worked selflessly. He was a humble person. I can’t comment much about it, because I am a government employee. But whatever happened is really unfortunate.
