Passengers were landed by the aircraft on Tuesday morning during a stagnation at Kolkata Airport due to technical fault in an engine of Air India aircraft going from San Francisco to Mumbai.
According to the information received, flight number AI 180 arrived at the airport on Monday and Tuesday at quarter to one, but further flight was delayed due to technical fault in its left engine.
All passengers were asked to land from the aircraft at around 05:20 am on Tuesday morning.
The captain of the aircraft told the passengers that the decision has been taken in the interest of flight security.
