Kedarnath Dham
The advance team of Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee has reached Shri Kedarnath Dham. Shri Badrinath- A spokesperson of the Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) said on Friday that the doors of Shri Kedarnath Dham will be officially opened on May 2. According to an official release, the doors of Shri Badrinath Dham will open on 4 May. Meanwhile, the doors of Sri Madmaheshwar Temple (Second Kedar) will open on May 21, and the third Kedar, Sri Tungnath Temple will also open again on 2 May.
Earlier, BKTC Chief Executive Officer Vijay Prasad Thapliyal attended a meeting on Monday to finalize the date of opening the doors of Shri Madmaheshwar Temple at Shri Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath. On Tuesday, BKTCC Chief Executive Officer Vijay Prasad Thapliyal inspected the mother Barahi Temple, Sansari, Mast Narayan Koti, Sri Triyuginarayan Temple, Gaurimata Temple, Gaurikund, Sona Prayag in the temple committee Vishram Griha and Sanskrit College at Shonitpur (Guptkashi).
Char Dham Yatra starts from Yamunotri
Char Dham Yatra is one of the most important Hindu pilgrimages. It includes a journey to four holy Himalayan temples. Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. The meaning of ‘Char’ in Hindi shows four more ‘Dham’ religious places. It is believed that a person should complete the Char Dham Yatra in the clockwise direction. Therefore, the pilgrimage begins with Yamunotri, ending in Gangotri, then Kedarnath and finally Badrinath.
CM Dhami said- will ensure the safety of pilgrims
On April 10, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the state government is committed to ensure the safety of pilgrims of Char Dham Yatra, as this pilgrimage is important for the state’s economy. CM Dhami said “Preparations are going on for the Char Dham Yatra. I also presided over a meeting to review the preparations for the yatra. We are committed to ensure the safety and goodness of our pilgrims. The Char Dham Yatra is a lifeline for our state economy.” (Input-ANI)
