The Leh administration announced on Friday that all schools in the district would be closed on 9 and 10 May in view of the current tension between India and Pakistan.
India on Thursday night thwarted the Pakistani Army’s attempt to attack the military bases at military bases at Jammu, Pathankot, Udhampur and some other places, while tension between the two countries has increased between the fears of comprehensive military conflict.
Leh Deputy Commissioner Santosh Sukhdeva said, “All government and private schools in Leh district will remain closed for the next two days.”
He said that this step has been taken in view of the current situation. DC said that everyone has been requested to be vigilant and contact 112 in any emergency.
Significantly, on 22 April, after the brutal killing of 22 tourists in Pahalgam, India started Operation Sindoor to eliminate terror. After destroying 9 terrorist bases, Pakistan started provoking India by doing cowardly acts. Now the tension between India Pakistan is at its peak.
