Panaji: In a tragic incident on Friday morning in Ponda town of Northern Goa, a flock of stray dogs attacked and killed an innocent girl of one and a half year. According to police, the incident took place in Durgabhatta ward, where 18 -month -old Anabia Sheikh was playing outside her relative’s house. Police said that 4 to 5 stray dogs suddenly attacked the girl and started scratching her. Anabia, who was seriously injured in the dog attack, was immediately rushed to the nearest government hospital, but the doctors declared her dead.
Anger got to be seen in local people
There was an atmosphere of resentment and sorrow in the local community when information about the death of the girl in stray dog attacks. Anand Naik, President of Ponda Municipal Council, condemned this heart -wrenching incident, saying, ‘We are making every effort to control the problem of stray dogs. For this, a proposal has also been made to set up an animal shelter home. The police have started investigating the case, and the local people have started demanding a permanent solution from the administration to a permanent solution to the problem.
Dogs created terror in Bahraich
