Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed concern over this incident and called it extremely worrying. He said on social media, “This attack on innocent shopkeepers in the Sunday market of Srinagar is condemnable. Targeting innocent civilians is unfair. “Security agencies should take strict steps to stop such incidents as soon as possible.”
Army and security forces had killed Lashkar terrorist Abu Usman with a reward of Rs 15 lakh in Srinagar on Saturday itself. Whereas, in Anantnag, terrorist Arbaaz Mir, carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh, and one of his associates were killed in an encounter. Just a day after this, the grenade attack in a busy area of Srinagar clearly shows that the pro-Pakistan terrorists are once again bent on shedding blood in the Kashmir Valley. Let us tell you that in the last few days, there have been attacks on migrants working in Jammu and Kashmir. Many migrant laborers working in a tunnel project were killed by terrorists. Earlier, terrorists had left Kashmir Valley and targeted common people and army in districts like Reasi and Kathua of Jammu. After the action of security forces there, terrorist attacks stopped, but now they have started again in Kashmir area.
