The dream of the people of Patna is now going to be a reality. Patna Metro is going to start on August 15 this year to get rid of congested, jam and expensive fares. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate it. Initially, Malahi Pakri will run a three -coach metro between Pataliputra bus terminal.
💸 Fare 10 to 60 rupees, long distance more profit
The fare of the metro is extremely accessible – between ₹ 10 to ₹ 60. While short distance passengers will get cheaper journey, those who cover long distances will benefit more in rent. The formula with “short distance, high fare – long distance, low fare” will be applicable.
🏗️ 19,500 crore cost, metro will run in total 34.39 km
Two corridors are being built in this project being built at a cost of about ₹ 19,500 crore:
East-West Corridor: 16.94 km
North-South Corridor: 14.45 km
👉 Total Distance: 34.39 km
👉 Total Station: 26 (13 underground + 13 elevated)
The work of laying tracks at 6 stations in the first phase is almost complete.
🚆 Initially 3 coaches, can grow up to 8 later
About 150 people will be able to sit in every coach
If needed, the number of coaches can be increased from 3 to 8

🛤️ Metro coaches from Maharashtra and Bengaluru
The first metro coach will reach Patna from Maharashtra next month. The second coach is being built in Bengaluru.
Chief Secretary Amritlal Meena said that Patna Metro is being equipped with all modern features like Delhi Metro.
