Rakesh Tikait
Rakesh Tikait, the national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, made serious allegations against the central government on Tuesday. He said that the government is planning to end the mandi system by bringing a new law. Tikait mentioned that market committees have been closed in Bihar since 2006 and now preparations are being made to implement the same system in Uttar Pradesh. Under this new law, farmers will be allowed to sell their grains outside the market, which will reduce the arrival of grains in the mandis and the revenue received by the government.
Circle rate of land?
Tikait alleged that the government has not increased the circle rate of land since 2013. The intention of the government behind this is that farmers become landless and become laborers. Tikait expressed concern over the situation of farmers by 2047, saying, “The farmer who will save his land, remains alive, and for this a generation will have to agitate to save land.”
Kumbh Mela said on bath
In the Kisan Mahapanchayat, Tikait also launched a scathing attack on the Kumbh Mela bath. He said, “If no one takes a bath in Kumbh, he will not be allowed to live, it will be taunted. The government is creating an atmosphere of fear in the country and people have now understood it. Now the movement of ideas will start.”
“Cheat in the name of MSP”
Tikait also surrounded the government on the problems of sugarcane farmers. He said that government sugar mills do not pay sugarcane price on time and farmers are being cheated in the name of minimum support price. Some industrialists buy crops from farmers at a lower price and are selling themselves to the government, calling themselves farmers.
Sikh community farmers
In addition, Tikait accused the Pilibhit police of harassing the Sikh community farmers and warned that if the farmers were prevented from agitating, they will protest a 72 -hour sit -in against the officer concerned. (input language)
