A peculiar incident has come to light in Una district of Himachal Pradesh. The procession from the village of Nari village returned from Singa village without a bride because there was no marriage there. When the procession from Nari village reached Singa on Tuesday, the people there were surprised, because no girl was married in the village. When the procession showed the picture of the girl, the villagers told that no such girl lives in their village. Gurdev Singh Giani, sarpanch of Singa village, said that there is no such girl or family in the village. He described this incident as unfortunate.
50 thousand for the groom’s family
Manu and Rajiv had allegedly decided this marriage. Both of them are neighbors of the groom and took Rs 50,000 from the groom to get the wedding fixed. The groom and the bride had never met, they had been talking on the phone for just a week.
The middleman said- the bride has eaten poisonous substances
When the situation was tense, the police reached there and when the people who were married were contacted, they said that the bride had consumed some poisonous substance and is being taken to a hospital in Nawanshahar in Punjab. The groom’s side caught the woman Manu and brought her back to Singa village. Local panchayat representatives also reached the spot. After this, the baraatis were taken to the panchayat home and the dispute was not resolved until the last conceit was found.
Haroli Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohan Rawat said that the police is investigating the case. He said that the groom’s family has been asked to compromise or file a complaint at Una Sadar Police Station. (With language inputs)
