According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the start of the week in Delhi was warm on Monday and the minimum temperature reached 29 degrees Celsius, which is nine degrees higher than Sunday.
According to the Meteorological Department, there has been no rain in the last 24 hours and humidity was measured at 68 percent at 8:30 am.
There was rain in some parts of the national capital in the early hours of Sunday, which provided a lot of relief from the scorching heat in Delhi for the last few days.
The maximum temperature in the day is expected to reach 36 degrees Celsius on Monday.
The IMD has released the ‘Yellow Alert’ for the national capital till Wednesday, which is projected to blow strong winds at a speed of light to moderate rains as well as thunderstorms, and strong winds at a speed of 50-60 kmph.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the city’s air quality was in the “medium” category on Monday and the air quality index (AQI) was 114 at nine in the morning.
According to CPCB, between zero to 50 AQI is considered ‘good’, between 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, between 101 and 200 ‘medium’, between 201 to 300, ‘bad’, 301 to 400 is considered ‘very bad’ and 401 to 500 is considered ‘severe’.
