On Thursday, the body of a young man was stirred up near the Lingaraj Temple Road railway station in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The deceased was identified as Sanatan Raut, a resident of Khandual Sahi in Bhimtangi region. There were bruises on the dead body, causing various apprehensions about the incident.

Initially people suspected that the young man was murdered and the corpse was thrown near the railway track, so that the case could be described as an accident. After this, the police reached the spot and started investigation and sent the body for postmortem. During the investigation, the police searched footage of CCTV cameras near the spot. In the footage, Sanatan was seen in a state of intoxication and then he stumbled and fell into an open drain. The scene was recorded in CCTV, which made it clear that the person died due to falling into the drain.
Video of terrible accident went viral
At the time of the incident, he himself was passing through the edge of the drain near the station and suddenly fell into it due to losing balance. Due to this, injuries also occurred and he died on the spot. It is clear from the investigation and CCTV footage so far that it was an accident, not a criminal incident.
After the post -mortem report, the exact cause of death will be fully confirmed, but the possibility of murder is being ruled out on the basis of information so far. One thing is clear from this accident that walking in a state of intoxication can prove to be fatal. Also, dangerous arrangements like open drain in public places also cause accidents. At present, the police is completing the formal investigation of the case and is waiting for the report to come.
