The Supreme Court on Tuesday gave Ranveer Allahabadia interim protection from arrest. This protection has been given in connection with several FIRs lodged against him across the country. However, the court also reprimanded him and said that the statement given in the show shows the mess and it has embarrassed the society.
He made unfair comments recently during a guest role in the show ‘India’s Got Latant’. The Supreme Court gave him interim protection on the condition of fully cooperating in the investigation.
The Supreme Court said that no more FIR will be lodged against them based on the episode shown on India’s Got Latent show. The Supreme Court asked them to submit their passport to the police and they cannot leave the country without the permission of the court.
Earlier, the court had expressed displeasure over the comments made during the guest role of YouTuber and Podcaster Ranveer Allahabad at the India’s Got Latent show. The Supreme Court asked the lawyer representing Allahabadia about the parameters of vulgarity and sluttiness.
The Supreme Court was hearing the petition of Ranveer Allahabadia on social media, in which he filed a petition against several FIRs. He had demanded several FIRs registered against him in connection with his comment on “India’s Got Latant”.
The cyber cell of Maharashtra Police has asked Ranveer Allabia to join the investigation on 24 February. The cyber cell is investigating Allahbadia and others, as he created a ruckus with his objectionable remarks in the show ‘India’s Got Latant’.
Earlier, the Mumbai and Guwahati police said in a joint statement that YouTuber and Podcaster Allahabadia were “out of contact with continuous investigative agencies”.
Police said that his name is included in the FIR lodged by Maharashtra Cyber Department, Guwahati Police and Jaipur Police in the ‘India’s Got Latant’ case.
The Supreme Court today said in its hearing that such behavior should be condemned.
The Supreme Court said, “Just because someone thinks that he has become so popular and can speak any kind of words, he can take the whole society lightly? Is there someone on the earth that likes this language Will do something very dirty in his mind.
