What changes have been made in the passport application now?

If you want to apply for passport, then the government has made the birth certificate mandatory. The birth certificate will be accepted as evidence of the date of birth while applying for persons born on or after 1 October 2023. But people born before 1 October 2023 need to be disturbed. They can use alternative documents like certificate, PAN card, driving license, voter ID card etc. for leaving school.

Apart from this, the name of the parents has been removed on the last page of the passport. This means that the Indian passport will no longer be the name of the parents on the last page. The residential address has now been encoded in the barcode, whose information will be found on scanning.
