According to officials of the Regional Earthquake Science Center in Shillong, the earthquake occurred in the state at 11. six minutes. The center of this earthquake was 44 kilometers east of Jairipok in Imphal Eastern District and at a depth of 110 km. Its shocks were felt in Assam, Meghalaya and other parts of the region.
Second earthquake intensity 4.1
The second earthquake in Manipur on Wednesday occurred at 12.20 pm due to which people got more scared. The intensity of this earthquake is measured at 4.1 on the Richter scale. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 66 km in Kamjong district of the state. Cracks have been observed in several buildings in Manipur after the earthquake. An official in Imphal has said that the information about the damage caused by the earthquake is being confirmed. There is no notice of any damage in other states of the region so far.
