At the beginning of the video, a jawan said, “This started with the Pahalgam terrorist attack, this anger was not lava. Only one thing in the mind, this time we will teach such a lesson that their generations will remember.”
After this, the footage showed scenes of explosions and persistent firing, as well as a voiceover, “On May 9, about 9 instruments, any enemy posts that violated the ceasefire, all those posts were mixed by the Indian Army. The enemy was seen leaving its post. Operation vermilion was not just a action for Pakistan, he did not have a lesson for Pakistan.
Earlier in the day, the Indian Army said that there is no talks between the Director General of Military Operations of India and Pakistan (DGMO). The army also clarified that there is no termination date for continuing the ceasefire set in DGMO’s conversation on 12 May.
This explanation came after some media institutions reported that the ceasefire between India and Pakistan ends on 18 May. The Indian Army said, “No DGMO talks are scheduled today. As far as the decision taken in the DGMO’s conversation on May 12, there is a question of continuing the enmity as per the decision taken in the DGMO, there is no termination date.”
On May 12, the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of India and Pakistan held important talks and discussed issues related to continuing this commitment that the two sides would not fire a single bullet nor initiate any aggressive action. It was also agreed that both sides would consider immediate measures to ensure a decrease in the number of soldiers from boundaries and advance areas.
DGMO level talks between the two countries, which were scheduled to be around 12 noon on May 12, were later scheduled for the evening. Following a call to Pakistan’s DGMO to its Indian counterpart Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, it was agreed to stop firing and military action between the two countries on Saturday.
Lieutenant General Ghai, while talking to media persons at a joint press conference on May 11 (Sunday), said that his Pakistani counterpart had proposed during a conversation on Saturday that “we should end enmity”.
India started Operation Sindoor on May 7 and attacked nine terrorist bases last month, in response to the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, the attack has been carried out in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. 26 people were killed in this attack.
