Mumbai: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has received a bomb threat. This threatening e-mail was received on the official website of RBI on Thursday afternoon. The e-mail contained a threat to bomb the Reserve Bank in Russian. In this matter, a case has been registered against unknown accused in Mata Ramabai Marg (MRA Marg) police station. Considering the seriousness of the incident, the police has started investigation.
Threat was received last month also
Let us tell you that this is not the first time that a threat has been made to blow up RBI with a bomb. Earlier last month, a threat was made to blow up the RBI by calling the custom care number of the Reserve Bank of India. The caller had introduced himself as the CEO of Lashkar-e-Taiba.
A lot of such threats have been received in the last few days. Sometimes we are receiving threatening calls to bomb airports and sometimes schools. Most of these calls are found to be fake during investigation.
Threat to bomb schools in Delhi
Three schools in the capital Delhi received a bomb threat mail on Friday morning, after which various agencies started searching the school premises. Earlier on December 9, at least 44 schools in Delhi had received similar emails. After a thorough investigation, the police termed those threats as rumours.
“We received calls at 4:21 am from Bhatnagar International School in Paschim Vihar, at 6:23 am from Cambridge School in Shri Niwas Puri and at 6:35 am from DPS East of Kailash,” a Delhi Fire Service official said. (Regarding the threatening e-mail).” He said that the fire department, police and bomb disposal teams along with dog squads have reached the schools and are investigating. The school administration has sent a message to the parents requesting them not to send their children to school. A police officer said that investigation into the case is ongoing.
