Since then, the police search operation is going on in the university campus. A large number of police forces are deployed, who are investigating every corner. Till the time of writing the news, no suspicious object or information has been found in the investigation, but the investigation is going on with utmost caution.
AMU received threat for the first time
In the threatening email it was written that the university would be bombed. This matter is very sensitive, because incidents of bomb threats were reported at many places from April to October and November last year. Threats were made to bomb Delhi’s schools, flights and hotels, however, after investigation, it turned out to be just a rumor everywhere.
The threat to bomb AMU is the first such incident this year. The police and administration are taking this threat seriously and taking all necessary steps.
Investigation continues, administration alert
UP Police says that the matter is under investigation and efforts are being made to trace the sender of the email. The police have appealed to the people not to pay heed to rumors and report any suspicious activity immediately.
Incidents of threats have increased in the last years
Last year, a sudden increase in bomb threat incidents was seen. Threats were made to bomb schools, hotels and flights in Delhi and other cities. However, no concrete evidence was found in any of these cases.
