Panic spread after threatening to bomb five private schools in Delhi on Wednesday morning and the officials immediately evacuated the campus for intensive investigation. The officers provided this information.
This is the third consecutive day when the educational institutions of the national capital have been threatened with emails. Earlier in the last two days, threats to keep bombs in some schools have proved to be false in investigation.
An official of the fire service said that after receiving an email threatening to bomb the St. Thomas School in Dwarka, it was informed to the fire department at 5.26 am. He said that Vasant Valley School at Vasant Kunj received an email at 6:30 am, Mother International at Hauz Khas at 8.12 am and Richmond Global School at West Vihar at 8.11 am.
A senior police officer said that Sardar Patel Vidyalaya at Lodhi Estate has also received threatened email. He said that the school was investigated in depth and so far nothing suspect has been found.
In an email sent to the parents, the school officials said, “Sardar Patel Vidyalaya will remain closed today due to the threat of bomb this morning and police advice. The bomb disposal squad is investigating the complex. ”
This threat to bomb St. Thomas School has been given a second time in less than 24 hours. Overall, nine schools in Delhi have received 10 emails of bomb threats. Employees living at night in these schools were immediately taken to safe places as a precaution.
He said that the team of Delhi Police, bomb disposal squad, dog squad and cyber experts reached schools and they searched in depth. Nothing suspects have been found yet.
