Bihar Police Headquarters has issued a high alert on August 28. Based on the intelligence input, information has been received that three Pakistani terrorists associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed have entered Bihar via Nepal. These terrorists have been identified as Hasnain Ali (Rawalpindi), Adal Hussain (Umarkot) and Muhammad Usman (Bhavalpur). All three reached Kathmandu in the second week of August and entered Bihar last week. The police have sent their names, photos and passport details to all the districts and directed to increase vigilance and ensure identity.
In view of the electoral atmosphere, the police have increased security in railway stations, bus stands, hotels and crowded areas. Also, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Railway Protection Force and Airport Security Agencies have also been kept on high alert. The police has also appealed to the general public to immediately inform the local administration about any suspect or activity.
Bihar Police has also declared a reward of Rs 50,000 for those who give help in the arrest of terrorists. Intelligence agencies believe that Nepal’s open limit has been an easy way for terrorist activities for a long time and that is why it was used this time too. In view of the upcoming assembly elections, the concern of the security agencies has increased further.
There is a situation of alert across the state and all the districts have been ordered to be alert. Bihar Police says that the security system is fully active and the public has also been expected to cooperate so that any untoward incident can be stopped.
