There is uproar in the whole country over the matter of adulteration of Laddu Prasadam in the famous Tirupati Venkateswara temple of Andhra Pradesh. The Chief Minister of the state Chandrababu Naidu has said that the accused of this incident will not be spared. What did Pawan Kalyan say?
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said on the entire controversy that we are all upset with the matter of mixing animal fat (fish oil, pork fat and beef fat) in Tirupati Balaji’s Prasad. Pawan Kalyan said that the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board formed by the then government will have to answer many questions.
Demand for Sanatan Dharma Raksha Board
Pawan Kalyan has said that our government is committed to take strict action. But this case highlights the desecration of temples, its land issues and other religious practices. Pawan Kalyan further said that now the time has come to form a ‘Sanatan Dharma Rakshan Board’ at the national level to look into all the issues related to temples across India.
Accused of using animal fat in laddu
Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu had claimed in the NDA Legislature Party meeting on Wednesday that the previous YSRCP i.e. Jagan Reddy government did not spare even the Sri Venkateswara Temple and they also used substandard material and animal fat in the preparation of Tirumala Laddu. At the same time, YSRCP says that Naidu has made this disgusting allegation to attack Jagan Mohan Reddy and the previous government. This is condemnable.
What was found in the lab report?
The TDP has shown an alleged laboratory report related to the use of animal fat in temple prasad. It confirms the presence of “beef fat” in the ghee sample given. The alleged laboratory report also claims the presence of “lard” (related to pig fat) and fish oil in the samples. The date of taking the sample was July 9, 2024 and the laboratory report was July 16.
