US President Donald Trump’s official residence and office ‘White House’ has said that China will now face a duty of up to 245 percent on imports in the US due to its retaliation.
President Trump said in a separate information on his social media platform ‘Truth’ on Tuesday that China has refused to accept the aircraft under the big Boeing deal.
This confirms reports that claimed that China has asked its aircraft companies not to supply the aircraft from the American aircraft manufacturer Boeing.
Giving information about this news, Trump pledged to protect the US and its farmers in a trade war with his opponents like China.
The White House said in a fact letter issued on Tuesday that President Trump has signed an executive order to initiate an investigation of national security risks arising out of US dependence on imported processed minerals and American dependence on their products.
It said, “President Trump started his ‘America First’ (America first) trade policy to improve the US economy again on the very first day. More than 75 countries have already come up to discuss new trade agreements. As a result, additional charges have been banned on other countries other than China, which retaliated.
Without giving detailed information in the fact letter, it was said, “China is now facing a duty of up to 245 percent on imports to the US as a result of its retaliation.”
China is the only country that has imposed retaliation against the US fee policy.
China on Friday increased its additional duty on imports from the US to 125 percent. He took this step in response to the 145 percent fee levied on the Trump administration’s Chinese exports. China has also filed a case in the World Trade Organization against the US fee hike.
The fact letter accused China of banning the export of Gallium, Germanium, Antimony and other major high technology materials to the US.
It said, processed important minerals and products made from it are the major construction blocks of the US defense industrial base. These are an integral part for applications such as jet engines, missile direction systems, advanced computing, radar systems and safe communication equipment.
Meanwhile, China on Wednesday appointed Lee Chenggang as an international trade representative in the Ministry of Commerce. Chenggang has decades of experience to handle international talks and has also been the Ambassador of China in the World Trade Organization.
The step was taken after the US President Trump’s statement in which he said that it is now the responsibility of China to compromise to end the fee of the fee.
