New Delhi. A terrible and painful accident took place in Jalgaon, Maharashtra in which 11 people lost their lives. Due to rumor of fire in Pushpak Express near Paranda Railway Station of Jalgaon, passengers stopped the train by pulling the chain and many passengers jumped from the train. Then Karnataka Express came at high speed on the other track and many passengers got hit by it. In this heart-wrenching incident, 11 passengers died while many others were injured and have been sent to the hospital for treatment.

Passengers traveling in Pushpak Express said that when the train was reaching Paranda Railway Station, there was sparking in the B4 coach. Seeing the spark, someone spread a rumor that the train was on fire. Suddenly a passenger pulled the chain and the train stopped. As soon as the train stopped, the passengers got down from the compartment and stood on the track, when this accident happened. Pushpak Express was going from Lucknow to Mumbai. There was an outcry after the accident. As soon as information about the incident was received, police and administration officials reached the spot and made arrangements to take the injured to the hospital. The bodies of those who died in the accident have been sent for post-mortem.

An eyewitness says that the speed of Karnataka Express was very fast and it came without honking due to which people did not get a chance to move off the track. According to the eyewitness, if the driver of Karnataka Express had given the horn, perhaps this accident would not have happened. At the same time, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed grief over this accident and paid emotional tribute to the deceased. He told that Minister Girish Mahajan, Collector and Superintendent of Police have reached the spot. We are keeping an eye on the entire situation.
