Bareilly. Cases of things being kept on the tracks of trains are coming to light every day. In the past too, many such cases have come to light in UP, when cement blocks, wooden blocks etc. were found kept on the train tracks. Now once again, as part of a conspiracy to overturn a train in UP, broken cement benches, pieces of stone and iron girders were placed on the tracks. The matter is near Dibnapur station in Bareilly district. This incident happened late on Friday night in Hafizganj police station area and due to the watchful eyes of the driver of a goods train, a train accident was avoided.

According to railway officials and Bareilly police, the goods train was coming to Bareilly from Pilibhit. Suddenly the driver of the goods train saw a heavy object placed on the track. The driver of the goods train stopped it by applying emergency brakes. When the driver of the goods train got down from the engine, he found that a broken bench made of cement, pieces of stone and an iron girder more than one meter long were kept on the track. After this he informed the railway officials. After receiving the information, railway officers and policemen reached the spot. After removing both the heavy objects from the tracks, the goods train driver was asked to move the train. A complaint has been given in this matter at Hafizganj police station. Police is searching for the person who kept heavy things on the train tracks.

Earlier in UP, there have been many incidents of placing cement blocks etc. on the train tracks in and around Kanpur. In some cases the police had even arrested the accused. There is suspicion of keeping heavy objects on the tracks near Bareilly at night. If the driver of the goods train was not alert, the train could have derailed and overturned. Let us tell you that to prevent such incidents, Railways has decided that CCTV cameras will be installed both inside and outside the engines of trains. So that those who throw stones at trains and keep heavy things on the tracks can be detected.
