New Delhi. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has postponed the transfer and posting policy of teachers with immediate effect. Now the transfer policy will be brought afresh in Bihar. Earlier today, Patna High Court has given a big order and banned the transfer and posting of government teachers of Bihar. Teachers had filed a petition opposing this policy of the government. The High Court has given 3 weeks time to the Bihar government to file its reply. The next hearing of the case will be on January 21, 2025.
At the same time, Bihar Education Minister Sunil Kumar says that the government’s decision to cancel the transfer and posting policy of teachers has nothing to do with the High Court order. The government had taken a decision in this regard yesterday itself, although it has been announced today. The Education Minister said that many teachers are dissatisfied with the current transfer and posting policy of the government. Seeing the dissatisfaction of the teachers, the government has decided that whatever practical difficulties there are in the existing transfer policy will be removed and soon a new transfer and posting policy will be brought in the interest of the teachers.
It is noteworthy that the government teachers of Aurangabad district of Bihar were not happy with the transfer and posting policy and had filed a petition in the Patna High Court. Giving relief to the teachers, High Court Judge Prabhat Kumar Singh has put a stay on transfer and posting till the next hearing. Let us tell you that till now about 1 lakh 20 thousand government teachers in Bihar have applied for transfer. After the application, the process of posting was to start by dividing the teachers according to the posts on the basis of category, but now it has been canceled along with the stay on it.
