US President Donald Trump’s meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa on Wednesday was dramatic in which Trump accused white farmers of killing and targeting him.
Ramaphosa came up with the hope of making new trade agreements but in the Trump meeting, these “baseless” allegations wanted to talk that white farmers are being harassed and murdered in Ramaphosa’s country.
Trump attracted everyone’s attention to the television kept in the room on which a video was shown. In the video for about four minutes, black leaders were shown raising anti -apartheid slogans regarding attacking white South African people. Not a single leader belonged to the government or political party of Ramafosa.
At the end of the video, the white cross in the rows was shown. Trump said that these crosses are a symbol of the killed white farmers.
He said, “This is a terrible scene. I have never seen anything like this before. ”
Ramafosa expressed doubt on this.
He said, “I want to know where this happened?” Because I have never seen this before. ”
The incident reminded of the meeting of Trump and Ukraine President Volodimir Jailnsky, which took place about three months ago in the ‘Oval Office’ (US President’s office), in which there was a fierce debate between the two leaders.
Apart from the video, Trump also showed some papers and said that these are the ‘printouts’ of the report on attacks on white farmers.
Trump said, “Death. Death. Terrible death. ”
He said that his administration has welcomed dozens of white African people as a refugee in the US as he has to face discrimination and violence in his country.
Ramaphosa dismissed allegations of massacre in South Africa. South Africa has a painful history of struggling with apartheid.
