According to the information, this Agniveer had come from Hyderabad for training at the Artillery School in Devlali, Nashik, Maharashtra. To find out the exact cause of this accident, the Army has ordered a Court of Inquiry into the incident.
Names of deceased firefighters revealed
Police also informed about this incident on Friday. An official has informed that this incident took place on Thursday afternoon at ‘Artillery Centre’ in Nashik Road area. The names of the two firefighters who died due to the explosion of a shell fired from the cannon during the test are Gohil Vishvaraj Singh (20) and Saifat Shit (21).
How did the whole incident happen?
The police officer has said that a team of firefighters was firing shells from a cannon. Meanwhile a cannon ball exploded. Two firefighters were injured in this. The injured firefighters were taken to MH Hospital in Devlali but they were declared dead here. Following the complaint, police have registered a case of accidental death and the investigation is ongoing. (with language input)
