Police have registered a case by registering a case in connection with the death of two children due to the CNG cylinder blast on Sunday in Nand Nagari, Delhi.
Delhi Police said on Sunday that two children aged 4 and 7 died during treatment at a CNG cylinder burst in a warehouse in Nand Nagari in North-East Delhi.
A case was registered under sections 287, 125A and 326G of the Indian Penal Code in Nand Nagri, along with section 106 (1). Police teams are conducting raids on potential targets to arrest the alleged accused.
The incident occurred at around 4:33 pm on Saturday evening in the K-Block area of the beautiful city, where the explosion occurred inside the warehouse used for storage and repair of old CNG cylinders.
A team of police reached the spot and found that the explosion took place during the repair of an old CNG cylinder. The warehouse iron gate broke due to the strength of the explosion.
In this incident, three children aged 4, 7 and 9, who were playing outside the campus at that time, were injured. Arshad, a 25 -year -old employee present in the warehouse, was also injured in the explosion. He is undergoing treatment and his condition is said to be stable.
It is being told that the warehouse was being used for storage and repair of old CNG cylinders. Teams of the Crime Branch and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) are inspecting the scene to detect the exact cause and order of the explosion.
According to officials, earlier on Saturday, a fierce fire was reported in the Sunday market located in Budh Vihar Phase 2 in New Delhi and two to four fire engines reached the spot.
The fire was in 10 to 12 huts in the area, which has been completely extinguished by fire officials. The cause behind the accident is not yet known and no casualties were reported.
Delhi Fire Service said in its statement, “Buddha Vihar Phase 2’s Sunday Bazaar road caught fire, 4 fire engines were sent on the spot, the fire was in 10 to 12 huts, now the fire has been extinguished, no casualties are reported.”
