A post has been made by Delhi Customs in which it has been told that two accused coming from Dubai have been arrested on charges of gold smuggling. Both the accused were trying to smuggle gold on October 11. But the officials present at the airport arrested him.
Investigation has been started in this matter
The officials have started investigation in this matter and it has been said that the accused was bringing the Sony hidden inside his sleeves. In this regard, a video has been shared in which the accused is seen removing a gold bangle from his sleeve. 816 grams of gold has been recovered from the accused.
How much gold is allowed to be brought?
Talking about the limit on bringing gold, a male traveler who has been abroad for more than a year can bring with him 20 grams of gold which is worth Dh2,500 and a female traveler can bring with him 40 grams of gold which is worth Dh5,000. Whereas an Indian citizen or Indian passport holder is allowed to bring 1 kg of gold from there after staying abroad for at least 6 months, on which custom duty has to be paid.
