On Hindi language controversy, MNS chief Raj Thackeray said, why Hindi, for whom Hindi? Don’t you ask anyone? Targeting CM Devendra Fadnavis, Raj Thackeray said, you only have power in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, we have power on the road. Raj Thackeray said that he stabbed the issue by saying that Uddhav Thackeray’s son was educated through English medium, we have a list of leaders whose son has been educated through English medium. We have educated Marathi language, my son has been educated through English medium. I want to tell you that Balasaheb Thackeray and my father Srikant Thackeray studied through English medium, LK Advani has received education from Convent School, can you question all these leaders?
MNS further said that what has been chosen by UP, Rajasthan, Bihar as the third language? They are Hindi -speaking states, but they are backward and the states that do not speak Hindi are moving forward. I respect all languages, whether it is Marathi, Hindi or some other language. The ‘Maratha Empire’ spread to Delhi, but we did not make Marathi mandatory in those states. Many politicians and film stars have studied in English schools in South India but they are proud of Tamil and Telugu languages.
